Thanks Diddy. No as you say Mary Loy/e was still alive when Henry died in Dec 1872 as Probate was granted to her in May 1873.
I will look for her remarriage as I have not found her death. If you find it can you let me know please?
Cheers

Hi
I am researching my Guerin family history. Patrick (m Winifred Mulvihill), John (b c 1826) m Bridget Conlon), Lawrence (m Margaret Larkin), Bridget (m Joseph O'Brien)and Catherine (m James McNamara) Guerin all migrated to South Australia on the ship "Hooghly"in 1846. There are several references to the fact that they came from County Clare but no more specific. (Tombstone, death records and hospital admission records) They would have been born between 1814-1830. We know that Bridget and Catherine were siblings and guess that the others are probably. Parents for one are recorded as John Guerin and mothers surname Ryan. They were Roman Catholic.
Would you have any knowledge of this family or have access to the birth records around the Six-Mile-Bridge area?
Any assistance or direction would be greatly appreciated
Virginia
I've sent several files as attachments to your private email. I've also got photos of the gravestone inscriptions sent which I took when we last visited relatives in the area.

If you have any information to share on your family I'd be very grateful as one day we may find a link.

I do have lots of info on related family members as well.

Hi Kath
Thank you for your reply. Yes I have googled but I had not seen Pat Guerin's article. I found it very interesting. I have communicated with Pat.  Do you know who I would contact with respect to finding baptism records for the Corofin area?I think my best option is to find the baptisms of my Hooghly 5! They were all married in the Roman Catholic Church so I asume that they were Roman Catholic.
Once again your help is much appreciated.

Hi
I would appreciate help. I am looking for Guerin ancestors.
Patrick Guerin born c 1814 (married Winifred Mulvihill)
Lawrence Guerin born c 1820 (married Margaret Larkin)
Bridget Guerin born c 1823 (married Joseph O'Brien)
John Guerin born c 1826 (married Bridget Agnes Conlin)
Catherine Guerin born c 1830 (married James McNamara)
all migrated to South Australia on the ship "Hooghly" in 1846 departing Plymouth England. They give place of birth as Co Clare. Catherine's parents are recorded as John Guerin and Catherine Ryan.
A relative Michael Guerin and wife Mary Gandy (Ganley) migrated to South Australia in 1840 on the ship "Birman" with daughter Bridget Anastasia. He gives place of origin as Kihaska, Corofin Co Clare. Many thanks for your help.
