This is the family, Edwin Verry Bevan is my husbands ggg Grandfather, they are all at Redcliffe - or very near to this day. Edwin's line are mostly related with maritime occupations, we have Cordwainers, Sail Makers and Captains of Coal boats to date.

Hi Welsh Lady, My stumbling block is Stephen's marriage to Ann Morgan and his birth, I have his date of death as 1850 so am guessing his birth was c. 1794. The census showed Stephen and Ann being born outside England so (guesswork again with the surnames Bevan and Morgan) Wales is probably the best option to start looking.

Does anybody have a record of a marriage between a Mary Ann Morgan and Stephen Be(a)van (or birthplace of Stephen in C.1795), it would be approx 1820's.
I would be grateful for any help / leads as we have his death in 1850, Bristol and in the 1841 census he and Mary Ann are shown as not born in England.
