And where could I find them?

My Great-Grandfather Albert Edward Knight worked there. On the day of the blast, he was off work & ill. Lucky for him !

Strange it should be so pixelated if you have done all that. Was it the original photo? If if was a print from a previous scan, then nothing will bring back the pixels without rescanning the original.

ps another thought, did you resize the photo afterwards?

Original photo scanned with the same settings as yours ! Not compressed neither resized !!!!!!
