That is rather strange, perhaps it was simply an error. Were they  Army quarters ? Perhaps there wee two  people with the same name. There was in my husband’s Regiment, but only ever registered in our home town, never where we were stationed.

By the time we’re were permanently settled I stood proxy for my son and daughter in law, both  in our home town, although my DiL had never lived here. It made no difference as she stlll only had the one vote.

I've just joined, in order to contact Jebber, as my father served in 214 Transport Company RASC during WW2 and has the surname Everitt (from Colchester) which is listed as a surname interest for Jebber, but I'm not able to PM
