Very interesting because the facts I have show the following:-

Thomas Bond(bn 1776) and Dorothy (bn 1781) with son Thomas (bn 1821 Cratfield) he is the one I am trying to confirm at the moment and I have him marrying Caroline Hart who was bn 1822 Laxfield to Jonathan Hart and Esther Cage marriage date 22 Jul 1800 in Hoxne.

I suppose the real question I should have asked is how to get hold of the records for Cratfield,Laxfield and Hoxne?

I do not have a date for the marriage, but for Caroline Hart I have a birth date of 18 Mar 1821 at Laxfield and for Jonathan Hart a birth date of 1775 at Hoxne and Esther Cage 1780 same place.

I am helping a neighbour by doing their family history. I have got back to Thomas Bond who I believe married a Caroline Hart from Laxfield, whose father was Jonathan Hart and Mother was Esther Cage.

Any help in confirming this or getting back further would be appreciated.

Norfolk / Re: William Ellis - Blofield

Have you tried the new Family Search site http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch?

If you use the browse option you will find the Norfolk PR's, as far as Blofield is concerned you will see that as well as the registers there is also "Indexes" for the different periodsyou will find that these are very thorough and after checking it should make your searches through the registers a lot quicker.

As my early ancestors are from Blofield I regularly search the site and have found entries for your William and a later William baptised 1807 together with a list of the Ellises born to William and Elizabeth, the marriage and burials are also there. Obviously the rector could see that Family History was going to be big in the future, I haven't seen any other indexes for the other areas I'm checking.

Hope this is not mgoing to be a waste of your time but I have one of my maternal side being shown as living in South Norwood in 1901. My grandmothers family of PARKER comes from Sussex, but in 1918 she married a George Henry Parker (allegedly a cousin) a Signal Lampman (bn 1894) and who at the time was shown as living in Burchell Road, Peckham- BUT- in 1901 he was living in South Norwood as I have a book of stories given to him from the South Norwood Weslyian Chapel. The only other help is that his father is called George.

As if trying to find one set of Parkers isn't enough I'm trying to find two.

Essex / SARGENT FAMILY
« on: Wednesday 08 July 09 13:36 BST (UK)  »

I am helping someone do their Family Tree for the above name.

The earliest I have found is Thomas Sargent born 1779 Bartlow, Cambs who married Mary Wilsmore (bn 1771 Bartlow) married 1798 Badstock. The family moved to  Ashdon, Essex in the 1830's. Thomas shown as buried Ashdon 1825.

Would be grateful for any assistance from anyone researching the family.
