I'm researching my Burke family in Tuam, Galway in the 1800s. I have come across Higgins too. They haven't intermarried yet, but they are close neighbours. Please let me know if you are still working on this. As discussed, Ancestry data can be wrong/different line.

I've just come across a birth record whilst doing my own family history. Bridget Higgins born 15 January 1865, Polldarragh, Tuam, Galway. Born to: Patrick Higgins, Polldarragh, Laborer and Mary Higgins, formerly Bryan. Ellen Higgins, grandmother, was present at birth. Civil record in Irish archives.
