Kent / Re: newbie saying hi and looking for info on kent ancestors

Hi!
I am incredibly late to this thread, but I am descended from the Hales' family that were primarily in Hartlip/Stockbury in Kent. I have researched this side extensively, and have visited Hartlip Church to see various marriage records over the years!
And on the other side of my family, I am descended from a man named Thomas Hicks (1863 - 1920), whose son Thomas Frederick Hicks (1885 - 1970) married Rose Annie Cheeseman (1887 - 1961). The Hicks family were from Chatham, Kent, but Rose's parents William Cheeseman (1865 - ) and Clara Annie Tickner (1867 - 1947) were both from Maidstone, which is the parish that Boxley is in.

Hello!
I'm probably a couple of years late to this thread, but it's one of the few places that I've seen the Derwent Tavern mentioned. I just wondered if you'd found out out anything else about either the pub or Glengall Road itself? My ancestors lived at 86 Glengall Road between 1891 and 1911, and they ran a Coffee House, so I was just intrigued whether there was anything else of interest that anyone has found? Or if there are any sites that are particularly good for information?

Thank you!
Amy
