Hi Jason,

I'm a descendant of the Pembertons, most of my family still live in Birmingham and my Grandmother is still alive. Her grandmother was Annie Pemberton. I was tracing the family tree on Ancestry but I couldn't get any higher than Annie, and the Annie I could find seems to be the wrong age.

Her husband George Perkins was a very successful owner of a charity, helping young juveniles acquire skills such as bricklaying etc to help them turn their lives around. There is a building named after him called George Perkins House that is now a day care / nursery. He also received an MBE from the Queen due to his charity work.

I tried logging onto familysearch but there seems to be some kind of error that causes it to not load, is the website still working?

Thanks!
