Hi
I am not sure if there is still activity on this subject. I am also researching Donald and Mary (MacLennan) MacKenzie who came to Nova Scotia (Boularderie ) Cape Breton in the early 1800's
(1830 - 40's) Mary was born in 1820 from all indications of the census records in Canada. They had 9-10 children. My second great grandmother was Johanna Mackenzie. She did move first to Provincetown MA and then on to Seattle. Donald and Mary's oldest child looks to be Duncan who was born around 1837. I am interested in finding when they came to Nova Scotia from Scotland and when they got married I also agree that is was not in 1830. She would have been around 10.
Any information would be helpful. Traci
