Durham Completed Look up Requests / Searching Gottlob Altdorfer 1882-1946

Hello,

My great grandfather Gottlob Altdorfer 1882-1946was a german pork butcher in Sunderland/Durham. He  (19) lived and worked there 264 High St. W, Sunderlandat a german butcher. I could find him registered 1901. I know he was interned with his brother George Altdorfer to the Isle of man and I just found out, that George was released in 1919. Couldnīt find anything about Gottlob. But he was there same time (there is a picture in my album). So I guess they both were released together in 1919.
I have no information about him in the years 1919 to 1924. In 1925 he was back to Ulm/Germany and married there my great-grandmother. He was then 43 years old and she 34. So it could be possible, that they were matched to marry.
Does anybody know anything about him?
I know he was working for a butcher named Vogtherr. But I donīt know how long and what he did after it.

Thank you for your help

Hello, I was really happy to read your post. My great-grandfather Gottlob Altdorfer also worked for the Vogther Family in Sunderland. So I am also looking for news about him, as I just know, he was working there and then interned on the isle of man - probably till 1918 or 1919  after that, I have no further information.
