My brothers and I are are also descendants of Jane Johnstone (through our grandmother) and are tracking down our family history. We will be visiting Penetanguishene in October. We are in contact with the historical society there, and our father told us the stories of a wedding in Westminster Abbey and that Jane's mother was a lady-in-waiting to the Queen.
FYI, my wife and I will be in Ottawa soon--August 15 and 16, if it makes any sense to meet in person that might be possible. We are clearly distant relatives.
