Thank you! I have sent a PM.

In my last post I should have typed George Archie Poole (1901-1990), he died aged 89, 35 years ago today.

Here is Harry and Elsie Poole's grave stobe at Ashleworth cemetery which I visited on the 18th October 2025.

My great grandfather George Archie Poole (1901-89) and my great grandmother Florence May Poole nee' Taylor (1895-1977) are buried next to the front gate, just as you come in on the left. They have no stones. They're buried next to my great uncle Verdun Raymond Taylor (1916-1959).

George and Sophia Poole don't have a stone, they're buried somewhere towards the back of the cemetery at Ashleworth.

I am still hoping to get in touch with olgit if anyone can assist, I'd be so grateful.

Kind regards,

Daniel

Hello all, I know it's been a while since this thread was created, but I wonder if anyone can assist. I am the great great grandson of George and Sophia Poole and wondered if there were any photographs of George still out there. I have several of Sophia and even the bill for her funeral, but only one photograph of George, a blurry image of him at the back of Archie and Florence's wedding (my great grandparents). Despite the blurriness, I can see a flower between his teeth. I am told this was not unusual and he rode round Ashleworth on a red tricycle in latter years. He was a soldier in the Boer War and the First World War. I would love to see a better picture of him and would like very much to talk with anyone who has any stories about him. Kind regards, Daniel
