Thanks all.  The Commonwealth War Graves Commission has only WW1 and 2., and he was "killed in action" in 1921.  I will try the other websites and see what happens.

Armed Forces / Burial site

Thanks to help from this site, I was able to find where my uncle was killed, in India, in 1921.  I now have his birth and death certificate as well as his medal cards.  Where can I find his burial site?  I know that there are probably records in the British Library in London, but that doesn't help me much since the Library is 6000 miles away.  Are there any other places that I could look.  Thanks a lot.

I'm new at this, but am back to the mid-1800's with the Hugh family.  You could send me a private message to see if it is the right branch.

The Lighter Side / Re: what made you search for your roots?

My father, when he was shown a copy of a family tree that someone had put together for my mothers side of the family, said " I hope no one does that on my side of the family".  That was years ago and dad is no longer here so no one can complain, now that I have started.

Thank you very much.  I found him on the 1837 site.  He was killed in Bangalore in 1921 at age 20.  Do you know how I could get a copy of the death certificate?

Thanks.  Yes, I have what I think is the correct location from Free BMD, but haven't ordered the certificate yet.  Thanks again.

Thanks, but I get "no match" there, I think because he was killed between the two world wars.
