Thank you for information on rank and explaining about the use of trades.
This is the my timeline of events produced from the military record, including my notes based on research online. I dont know if it helps explain the BAFO note on the record. There is re-mustering to locations in Europe.

2 No date 10 RC (Signals) Recruit Centre - Blackpool training in morse, ground wireless operation and airborne wireless operation?
3 21/01/1943 6RS Radio School - Bolton H Radio School assume training
4 14/07/1943 6RS Assume more training -ACH/W/WM
5 30/10/1943 Examinations
6 02/11/1943 Mustering WM
7 11/11/1943 30 MU Sealand HH Moved to Maintenance unit which dealt with bombers - Service Repair Depot, Electronics Servicing Unit, Avionics Repair
8 20/03/1944 Examinations
9 01/04/1944 30 MU G13E Promoted to AC1
10 20/11/1944 Examinations
11 01/12/1944 30MU - Sealand Promoted to LAC
12 26/07/1946 RAF Linton on Ouse Moved to new unit.
Post war June 1945 base transferred to No 4 Group Transport Command, station involved with transporting passengers and freight back to the UK
13 15/01/1947 RAF Linton on Ouse Temporary promotion to 6PL (Corporal)
14 21/04/1947 101 PDC - Personnel Dispatch Centre --Kirkham Release Moved unit
15 21/04/1947 Release
16 16/06/1947 Effective release
