I requested my fathers RAF military record, he served in WW2 working on radar. His record is headed   ACH/RDF/WM which I understand is Aircraft Hand/ Radio Detection Finder (ie radar) /Wireless Mechanic. I have also managed to put together the skeleton of where he served and unpicked most of the abbreviations.
However, I would appreciate any information on what the following may mean:
(i)   In the promotions section – description - T/6PL – 6PL
(ii)   In the Miscellaneous section  - (typed not handwritten) – Unasterisked trade scheme X. Not to remuster without ref. to Air Ministry  M.7
(iii)   In the Miscellaneous section  (in pencil)  - BAFO 2/3 -21/12/4? – which I understand is British Air Force of Occupation .  but he was down as being in 30MU at Sealand and at RAF Linton-on -Ouse during this time not in Europe!
Hope that someone will be able to help. I have read others posts and replies which have already helped with some tricky abbreviations.
