I am new to Rootschat. It says I have to make 3 posts before I can personally message someone, or they can message me. So, here is my 3rd, as I'd like to PM WOODY16, who has the family tree my father produced by hand. Also, I'd like to get in touch with my newly discovered half cousins in Canada  :D

My father is 'Curiously' in this chat. He will be 97 on June 29th, and I will be visiting him from Australia to celebrate his birthday. It looks like Woody16 has the family tree my father produced by hand around 50 years ago! He remembers sending it to 'some ancestor' he says.

He had another copy, but his son (my brother) has mental health issues, and destroyed it, along with wedding photos and all sorts of sentimental things.

Anyway, I would LOVE to either get the original, or a copy, of the family tree my father produced, and present it to him for his birthday. I'm happy to pay, or exchange for photos we have of the Yorkshire side of the family.

I also look forward to hearing from my half cousins in Canada. I have just done a DNA test with Ancestry, which my reveal more relatives!

Hello from Australia.

I am also a grandchild of Ralph / Joseph Watson. My father, Peter Joseph Watson, turns 97 this year and lives in England. I emigrated to Australia and have 2 sons - my husband is from Hong Kong. Are there any other direct sons and daughters of Ralph Watson alive anywhere? They would be half brothers and sisters to my father - which would be incredible!!

Once when I was in Canada, I went and looked up records of Ralph Watson - he was in the horse guards I think - it was 30 years ago, and I forget exactly. I suspect he may have had some mental health issues btw.

So, if you have one grandparent in common, what is the relationship called?
