Hi, this is an old thread so I'm not sure if anyone is still following.
Thank you for all the information.
I am a descendant of John Taylor and Tristiana Squire. They were my third great grandparents. We were always told that we had some Bengal ancestry, which has been confirmed by DNA but weren't aware of where it came from. John Taylor being the son of Lt John Taylor and a local woman would make sense.
Looking forward to doing more research and seeing if there are DNA matches with the lines of the possible half siblings of John Taylor.
If anyone has any other information, I'd love to hear from you.
