Fife / Lookup request - Wilkie Burials & Gravestones at Ceres Parish Church
« on: Friday 16 January 26 02:41 GMT (UK)  »
Hello, I’m researching my Wilkie family from Ceres and would be grateful for a lookup in the Ceres Parish Church monumental inscriptions.
I’m especially looking for any gravestones or burial information for:
- Thomas Wilkie (1724–1789)
- Alexander Wilkie (1749–1833)
- Margaret Bryce (wife of Thomas)
- Agnes Milson/Milison (wife of Alexander)
- Any other Wilkie stones from the 1700s–1800s
If anyone has access to the Ceres MI booklet or has photographed the kirkyard, I would really appreciate any inscriptions, stone numbers, or notes.
Thank you very much for your help.

Hello again, I’m continuing my research into the Wilkie family of Ceres and would be grateful for any information from local sources, MI booklets, estate papers, or parish histories.
I’m looking for anything relating to Ceres Mill and the Wilkie family, especially:
- Alexander Wilkie (1749–1833) – believed to have lived or worked at/near Ceres Mill
- Any references to Wilkie tenancy, mill lands, feu charters, rentals, or estate papers
- Mentions of the Wilkie family in connection with the mill in the late 1700s–early 1800s
- Any notes from local histories, MI booklets, or estate maps that mention the mill or Wilkies
If anyone has access to estate records, local MI booklets, or historical notes for Ceres Mill, I would really appreciate any details.
Thank you very much for your help.

Canada Lookup Request / Land Registry - Vaughan Township, Ontario
« on: Thursday 15 January 26 16:19 GMT (UK)  »
Lookup Request – Vaughan Township Land Registry Abstract (Lot 47, Concession 1‑W)
Dear Archives of Ontario,
I am conducting genealogical research on my ancestor Thomas Wilkie, who died in 1840 and owned Lot 47, Concession 1 West of Yonge (1‑W) in Vaughan Township, York County.
I am seeking a copy or transcription of the Abstract Index to Deeds for this lot, particularly covering the period 1840 to 1870. I am especially interested in any transactions involving:
- Agnes Wilkie (widow of Thomas Wilkie)
- Their daughters: Jane (or Jean), Janet, and Margaret Wilkie
- The Brydon family (Margaret’s married name)
- Any indication of when the land left the Wilkie family
If possible, please include the instrument numbers, dates, and names of grantors and grantees for each transaction on this lot during that period.
Thank you very much for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Roberta

They had a Margaret Macnaughton Campbell b. 1773 Foringgall and married Duncan Campbell 20 May 1795 Cragganour. They immigrated to Walpole Haldimand Co. Ontario. Or at least this is what I have pieced together. Thanks for reviewing my work appeciate your feedback as gets confusing!  Roberta
