Europe / Re: Ancestors in Kreis Naugard, Pomerania: RAKOW, PAHLOW, PARLOW, THEMSFELDT

The main purpose of that post was to unlock the message-sending ability by making at least two posts. However, if it should be elsewhere, I'm fine with it being moved. Where should such a post go?

Europe / RAKOW ancestors in Kreis Naugard, Pomerania
« on: Monday 06 January 25 23:43 GMT (UK)  »
I've been asked to give more details about my ancestors in Kreis Naugard, formerly in Prussia, now in Poland (near the town Nowogard).
I am descended from Simon Rakow, born 1728 (where?), died 1783 in Döringshagen, Naugard. He first shows up in manorial records in 1772, as inn-keeper and farmer. There were no Rakows in the records from 1754 and 1748, so I assume he arrived in the village sometime in the period 1754-1772. I have looked through the church records, which begin in 1775, and the manorial records (Prästations tables, Mill tables and reports on inns) which survive from various dates in the 18th century (not online).
In 1793 Simon's son Christoph Rakow married a widow in the nearby village Zickerke, and became a farmer there.
I would be interested in any sightings of the Simon Rakow/Rackow/Raco family before 1772. I would also be interested in contact from any relatives of this family, or anyone with ancestors from the villages Döringshagen or Zickerke.

Europe / Ancestors in Kreis Naugard, Pomerania: RAKOW, PAHLOW, PARLOW, THEMSFELDT

My father's ancestors were from Eastern Pomerania (formerly in Prussia, now in Poland). In particular I have done a lot of research in the villages Zickerke, Trechel and Fanger in Kreis Naugard, on the families RAKOW, PAHLOW, PARLOW, THEMSFELDT, among others.
I would be interested in hearing from any other researchers working in the same area, or connected to these families.
From archive visits I have copied some 18th century tax records, and lists of serfs, which are not available online, so I might be able to help you if you have connections to these villages.

Europe / Re: Hübner - A clothmaking family

Hello "HistoricalGenealogy",
I am descended from this Hübner family, and have written a booklet about them. I would be very interested in comparing notes, sources, etc. My version of the tree is available on ancestry.

I'm new to this forum - I'm not sure how to end a message to one particular user.
