Several of these replies are very possible, thank you all very much!
Strauchbaum is very possible, and yes, I believe she did need her father's permission as her age is listed as opposed to "full age".

Thank you all.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Ancestor Research (unable to find on GRO)

Hello all. I have an ancestor who I have several censuses for who always said that her place of birth was Manchester. Her name (maiden) was Pauline Strauss, and while the censuses from 1891-1911 differed in date of birth between 1867 and 1875 the 1921 Census and 1939 Register were relatively similar, mainly claiming that she was born in September/December 1865 or 1868. She married Francis George Glennie on the 2nd of August 1890 and had five children. The jist of it is that I have searched the GRO indexes endless times under any variation of her name I can think of - the only other details I know about her is that her father was Jacob Strauss, a traveller and she (probably) had three siblings, one of which I have found (Solomon, 1868 in Austria - December 1911 in Manchester).
Thank you very much, all.

Hello all. I have been pondering this for a while as it is a rather strange case.
My 3x great grandfather Henry France was (or at least claimed to have been) born in April 1872 in Manchester on all of his census returns but he does not appear on the Civil Registration Birth Index at all (I have searched 10 years either side of 1872). Even more weirdly his parents got married about a year and a half after his claimed birth (1st January 1874). If anyone is able to help me on this matter I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Hello all. I am trying to transcribe the abode of my 2x great grandmother, Mary Ellen Hague on her burial record (St Thomas' Church, Kimberworth) and I could not figure it out. Is anyone able to help me?

It is extremely interesting. I was wrong - most of Hulme's original slum terraces were demolished post World War 2, both from bomb damage and from being considered "Uninhabitable"

Thanks very much
