Graveyards and Gravestones / Re: Finding burial location

Hi Nort,
Thankyou for your suggestion, Perhaps in the New year some kind person can have a look in the newspaper death notices for me, as my online searches have not found him so far. My instinct says either close to Hawkmoor sanitorium - Bovey Tracey Devon or
Close to his home address in Torquay Devon
Q, are the death notices provided by
undertakers ? as i am fairly sure he had  no family close enough to have done this.
Perhaps even a pauper / council burial or
cremation.  Again my appreciation for you welcome input , this man flies well under the radar

Graveyards and Gravestones / Finding burial location
« on: Saturday 07 December 24 10:32 GMT (UK)  »
Good afternoon
My on line  searches to date have drawn a blank.
I am trying to determine the burial location of my  biological grandfather who died in 1941 Hawkmoor Sanatorium Bovey Tracey Devon of TB
On his death cert , His given address was Melville st Torquay Devon.
age 45 though the 1939 census only provides 19 Oct year unknown and no place of birth. He had 3 known children with a de facto wife 1 of their daughters died age 4 and was buried Nov 1941 at
Torquay cemetery. His defacto wife had married in Feb 1939. So I think unless I can connect him to other family in the area by way of birth year and place parents etc
My only hope is that burial records may throw up some clues to extend my search for him .  Appreciate any guidance as to
likely scenarios or places I can contact .
