Pembrokeshire / Re: MORRIS, Prendergast, Haverfordwest and Pembroke

Yes, the Morris family name is a tangle. Too many with similar names in the same places and the same time period.

If it's any help to those on this thread, my Morris family connection to Prendergast, Haverfordwest and Pembroke stem from:
1. William Morris (1790-1871, an excise officer) married to Mary Griffiths (born 1799 in Haverfordwest). They had 8 children.
2. Reverend David Winter Morris (1840-1902, vicar of St. Ishmael's in Milford Haven/Pembroke from 1877) married to Mary Brown (1840-1915, born in Mancetter, Warwickshire). They had 11 children.
3. Charles Harold Morris (1873-1934, born in Milford Haven) married to Emily Honor Buckland. They emigrated to Canada around 1915. He served with the CEF during WWI. They had one daughter.

I would love to find more information on Reverend Morris (beyond the usual BMD and Census info) as he was quite active in his community from some newspaper accounts. A photograph of the vicarage of St. Ishmaels (which was destroyed in WWII) or of the Reverend would be of great interest.
