Frederick William Morgan married Annie Parry Hughes and lived in Risca.
They were from Blaenavon and Pontymister.
They had four children and moved to Doncaster in the late 1920’s to work in the coal mines.
Fredericks father was William Morgan of Blaenavon who served with the Monmouthshire Rifle Volunteers.
Frederick served with the Royal Field Artillery in WW1
His son Melvyn served with the Coldstream Guards in WW2.
They are buried in Rossington in South Yorkshire

Hi,
Frederick William Morgan was my Great Grandfather who married Annie Parry Hughes.
They lived in Risca.
They had four children
John William (my Grandfather)
Alwyn Benjamin
Rebecca
Melvyn Walter.
Frederick served in the Territorial Volunteers at Risca and later in the Royal Field Artillery during WW1 which he survived.
Melvyn served with the Coldstream Guards and was taken POW in Tobruk. He too survived the war.
The family moved from Risca to Doncaster where they worked in various coal mines.
