Hello,
I have written a 180 page biographical treatise of George Armitage (b. Bradford,1795, d. Birkdale,1868), stonemason of Bradford, soldier in the British Army and Police Superintendent in the Lancashire Constabulary. A copy has already been deposited in the library at Lancashire Archives in Preston and I intend to upload a slightly revised text on the Archive.org website where it will be free to read.
