Hello all,
Just stumbled on this thread a couple of days ago after doing one of those DNA tests and being sent a copy of my family tree, the tree was researched by my late Auntie Laura, Durham born and bred, the name Jervis pricked up my ears as his name is mentioned on my tree, his father being John Forrester of Corstorphine, who is my 5th g grandfather(?) and his mother Mary Lightwood. I remember talking to my auntie about the tree maybe 25 or so years ago, and she mentioned that John Forrester was as far as she could get, no further records existed as far as she knew, mainly to Henry VIII and his church burning exercises. I’d be fascinated to see if my (our) tree goes back any further, sort of carry on where Auntie left off. Hope to hear from someone soon
