Sorry, classic mistake of not attaching document!
Here it is.

Can anyone help with reading this record? I can just about make out John MacGown(?) and Marie Grossart as the couple, but can't decipher if there is any other relevant information there. I think I can see another name. Any expert help gratefully received.
Many thanks.

Thanks David Nicoll, that makes perfect sense. I can see that very clearly now!

Family History Beginners Board / Baptism records for Clackmannan, 1735

Have come across this page of parish records for baptisms in Clackmannan, Clackmannanshire, 1735 and notice that after every entry there is what seems to be 'Pautt' or possibly 'Paull'? As there are Latin expressions on the same page, just wondering if this is related to a Latin expression or just the name of the officiating cleric? Any suggestions welcome.
Many thanks.

Thank you buttons, that's a useful detail.

Thank you all for these very useful replies.
gc1: I found a Lucy Cloudesley buried in 1639 in Saxlingham, which is only 3 miles from Cley-next-the-Sea, which is where she married Henry Jenkinson and their children were born, so I opted for that. Interesting that there are the alternatives you found, and will certainly look into it.
Illi1133 and jonwarrn: thank you for these very useful leads. The Blakeney Historical document answers a lot of questions. I had sort of reasoned John Jenkinson and Sarah Brigge as Henry's parents, but all this information confirms that, along with a great line back for Sarah's descendants.
Thank you all again.

Thank you rosie99, that is very useful. It does seem like the Melbourn and Hitchin families are different, and with the Melbourn births looking like they run from 1818-1831, the birth of Mary in 1821 could just be lost in the registers somewhere.

ADDED Have also just discovered on the 1841 Hitchin census that Mary Goldthorpe (now Maria) born abt. 1821 is still with her family in Baldock, whereas Mary Gouldthorp in Melbourne is already married by then.

I forgot to add that Mary and George Chamberlain married in 1839, presumably with her at age 18, so unlikely she is a widow at this age.
