Hi. I've just been reading this thread, just new to rootschat! I am tracing my Cooper line who were Butchers in Hitchin and Baldock in the mid 1800's-1930's.. I think they may connect back to Shillington and possibly Kempston, it's something I'm trying to look at at the moment!
Does anyone else connect to Hitchin / Offley / Shillington?

Hi I just found this thread, I am looking at my branch of Cooper's and have also got to the ones alias Farrers. I was trying to work it out too. Thanks for your information. My Cooper's seem to so far be from Kempston, Houghton Conquest and my line ended up in Hitchen and later Baldock as Butchers.
