Hi Kloumann
There seems to be 2 trails of the Fairbairn family coming through from my request, 1 in Fife way and 1 in East Lothian way. I`ll need to find out which is the correct route so I don`t get the wrong family. Thanks again for the ongoing support is really appreciated

Hi Dorrie
Thanks for answering my subject. The Fairbairn`s are from my Mother`s side of family and believe originated from that side of the country, only to eventually end up in the Glasgow area.  My Grandfather was called David Fairbairn, his Father Robert I think and his Father David again, with possibly another Robert after him. Dates thinking about David GF, 1885, Robert 1863, David 1837 and Robert around early 1800`s. I have a marriage Cert from 1882 of Robert`s marriage to Margaret Fraser in the parish of Anstruther and there residence was Barry. I think the may have been farm servants.
