I have just stumbled across this post in Search. I am the granddaughter of R. G. Eighteen (deceased) of Reading, Berks and am trying to find out about family members. I am new on the site and the posts I am replying to are over eight years old, so fingers crossed! Lin

I am new to this site. I definitely have bloodline connections to the Eighteen family of Reading, Berks. My (deceased) grandfather was an Eighteen, a fishmonger from Reading, who moved to Surrey to marry and continue his trade. Happy to share what I know and happy to hear from others who may have information! Thanks, Lin

Hello,
I have only just signed up and am finding things difficult to navigate, being a newbie!

Hopefully I am messaging somebody about the Eighteen family of Reading, who were fishmongers? I have a family connection as my maternal grandfather, Reg, was an Eighteen of Reading. He married, moved to Surrey and continued his fishmonger trade around the Epsom area. He had two children; my mother, Betty, (named after an Eighteen uncle's wife that had moved to Canada before WWII), and her younger brother, John S Eighteen. I haven't seen my uncle John or my eldest cousins, his twin sons L and P, since I was eleven and they were twelve. However, mum is still alive and I am trying to find out where family are. If anyone has information? I know that my grandad was one of THIRTEEN Eighteen siblings from Reading, some of whom moved to the London, Ontario area of Canada. Also, happy to help if someone needs information from me. Linda   :)
