Hampshire & Isle of Wight / Reeves family of Fareham
« on: Thursday 23 October 25 18:59 BST (UK)  »
Hi, I'm currently researching my ancestor Barton Reeves of Fareham Hampshire born about 1690 son of Catherine Barton. He owned some property in Shalfleet, Alverstoke and Fareham. I know he inherited a portion of this from his uncle Roger Barton, but I'm trying to research Barton's father's side, the Reeves family, there are some papers for the Reeves family in the JER/BAR/3 collection on the national archives. But I'm struggling to connect the line of inheritance or who Barton's father was. I'd really appreciate any help. Thank you!  :)

No unfortunately, he was a Master Mariner so I think he was away when the censuses were done because he wasnt in the household in the 1851 or 1861 censuses.

Hi, I'm looking into my ancestor Joseph Rowlands. He owned or worked in a beer house on Chester Road. He was born about 1819 in Bishopwearmouth and died in 1880. According to his marriage record to Margaret Wilson, his father was John Rowlands, however I couldn't find a baptism for him or his mother. I would really appreciate any help, thank you  :)!

Hi, I'm looking into my ancestor Robert Williams. He was a mariner born about 1839 in Caernarfonshire. He moved to Sunderland where he married Catherine Ann Morgan. I would really appreciate any help in finding his parents or family, thank you!  :)
