I believe I am a direct descendent of Matthew Wylie and Elizabeth Baird.  Tom isn't a common name in our branch of the family.  Lots of Matthew, William, Hugh, James, Janet, Elizabeth, Mary.  I'm also doing some research into my family which I believe were in Stevenston in the mid to late 1700s, then Saltcoats, then Ardrossan. My branch eventually moved to Glasgow around 1900 and then to Dundee around 1920.
