:)Hi Dale Many thanks for your email. I have a copy of George's marriage entry for Jan 1851 and that is how I found out his father was Michael. I had been told it was Abraham but not according to his marriage certificate. I will go back and look at the 1851 census and see what I can find.
Many thanks again
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you.
Regards Dawn

:)Hi I am trying to find out information on a William Shephard, travel from Wales, he arrived in South Australia in 1836. According a distant cousin, his wife and extended family arrived in 1838.
Also he brought from Wales all the necessary equipment, seed, stock and servants to start farming in the new land.
I have no information on  age or where he died. I am still to find out the connection with my line, if there is a connection then he had a son Thomas born about 1813's.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I agree with that I too dont know how some one could mix the two up. Just to keep you guessing as to where she got the info, Eliza Jane Wilson used the surname Cunningham too, arrived into Australia as a convict into tasmania and she married there to another convict. I have obtained her criminal records and also where she obtained permission to marry another convict.
Gillian OMarea( not sure on the spelling) want listen to anyone have had my cousin who lives in Perth talk to her but she want listen, that is why I am trying to find out where Henry went to.
Many thanks for your help.
Please accept my applogy if at times I write confusing stuff
