Ewanrigg hall was owned last by the Dixon family, me and my friend used to go to the milk parlour and get milk. 1990s. We also used to jump on the haystacks in the barn. Some of the best childhood memories are on the estate, haybailling.
My neighbour was John Dixon a relative of the DIxons who worked on the farm.
There is an ancient tree on the site. Kevin Thompson bought it and done nothing with it for years. Set on fire not that long after hmmmm, such a shame to see it as it is at the moment. Plans for 125 homes are currently being submitted on the land.
