I should have said also that my grandad (Thomas Blackwood Houston) was born in about 1929.

Thanks for that! That helps! All my relatives are from Ayrshire area. I'm the grandaughter of Jean McPhee. He's my great grandad.
I've managed to finish my tree now. All except for my dad's side who is too hard I can't find anything online.
If anyone can help it's Thomas Blackwood Houston. His mum and dad are James Blackwood Houston and Elizabeth McGilvery. They were from the same area I think in Ayrshire.

I've got Munro's, Cunningham's and my Grandma is a direct descendant McPhee... I'm stuck on my family tree though with John Judge McPhee (no idea of his parents or DOB) but... He's my about 90 year old grandma's dad so would be in that era.
