Would anyone have a good estimate as to the date of this photo?
It is of the East Wall Dockers. I think the man circled could possibly be my great grandfather.

I am looking for some more detailed information regarding my family history. I was able to trace back to William Cullen b. 1796- d. 1859 marred to Esther b. 1799 -d. 1849. Seems that there must have been a large buriel plot for the Cullens at Kilcommon Graveyarrd. I did find some information in the 1901 Census for the the Grandchildren but I interested in what prominent businesses were there or what occupations were of some of the Cullens. Thank you

I know this is an older post but I am also related to William and Esther they are 3G grandparents.
As far as our family know, the Cullens were primarily farmers in that area, their son James (my 2G grandfather) was a farmer, his son also Peter worked as a lime burner, regarded as one of the worst jobs ever. His son, also Peter, was my grandfather and he was also a farmer who owned land in Terenure Dublin. Their occupations are listed in the census forms and on marriage certs.

Hi folks.

Just wondering if anyone would be familiar with this photographers setup?
It was taken in Dublin circa 1925, Michael Browne and his grandfather James Farrell are in the photo.

I've sent it off to Lafayette to see if they recognize the backdrop, could be Chancellor either?

Thanks in advance.

Wicklow / Kilcommon Cemetery in Rathdrum (Not Tinahely)
« on: Thursday 24 October 24 20:18 BST (UK)  »
Hi folks

Just wondering if anyone has taken photos of headstones in this cemetery?
I have a lot of Cullen ancestors in Rathdrum and some of them are buried there. I do plan on visiting soon but just thought I'd check here first.
My GG Grandfather James Cullen owned land in this area in the mid to late 1800s.
I do understand that is slightly off the beaten track on farmland across a railway line.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you

There seems to be some confusion, that Kilcommon cemetery is in Tinahely, there is another one 3km outside Rathdrum in the townland of Bahana/Kilcommon but I'm not sure if it's accessible to the public anymore, it's on a farmland. I might drive down and investigate.
I'm hoping that my GG granfather James Cullen and his wife Elizabeth Weddick are buried there.
