I'm also researching Romany roots in Wales I'm adopted and several of my lines are leading to travelling family, the one I'm looking at now has the surname tasker links to north Wales anyone have any information

Yes all, and there's a definite German Romany connection to for example miller's and Reinhardt various spellings

Hi came across your post, I have Harris conection Monmouthshire and have done DNA, Rees comes out alot as do other names mentioned my direct Harris line moves to Glamorgan and talybont on usk is this same family or different

No of course like Harris for example I have a mixture but the Evans price Boswell is my mum side Harris is my dads

Yes thankyou my Roma came out 13 percent on genomlink I also had south Slavic 9 percent and Asian and middle eastern DNA, scamp is another match for me on my heritage, also Lovell, and as for variations I have had buswell, bosworth, boss and others, the difficulty is I have a grandparent each on either side and both seem to have been taken and adopted, the Evans is my mother's father and that's Wales Montgomeryshire, the other was my father's mother, she was in Birkenhead Cheshire and raised by Wilson and Williams,she  married Harris, im on many Romany heritage groups on gedmatch and Facebook I have over 2000 matches some close as second cousin some farther away, I have price matches on the Welsh side, lee are fairly close varrious spellings

Thanks so much William Edward is my grandad, I've done DNA and Boswell's are fourth cousins upwards, most of the Boswell matches are USA but other may not have tested, my great grandfather William Edward his brother and a Davis cousin were taken and adopted for some reason, Simpson and Sampson are also matches to me, Roma came out in my ethnicity also middle eastern and Indian, I'm also adopted and seem to have it both sides my dad's dad was a Harris, his mother side has romany, chapman Goodman wadge peddler Goddard maybe not real name with regard to Goddard she was from Birkenhead and raised by Wilson relatives her side has been almost impossible to trace, I'm on romany ancestry uk and have loads of matches but starting to look at the Welsh Evans side almost given up on the other oh I forgot I have Stevens from Gloucester to
