World War One / The Nations at the Battle of Jutland (British Fleet)
« on: Wednesday 12 June 24 10:50 BST (UK)  »
The Battle of Jutland Crew Lists project is currently reviewing the locations of birth for those in the British fleet at the Battle of Jutland.

New details are being added on a daily basis.  Although at present less that 1/3rd of the names have been reviewed even this is producing some interesting finds.

The link below is updated on a regular basis:

World War One / HMS Chester at the Battle of Jutland - The Chester Medallion
« on: Monday 20 May 24 15:05 BST (UK)  »
The Chester Medallion was given by the people of Chester to those that were on board the ship at the Battle of Jutland.

One wonders how many of these are still with relatives of those that were on the Chester.
I am putting a "Chester Medallion Traced" note against the names on the crew list.  To date three relatives have indicated that they have the medallion.

These articles might be of interest to folk (a newspaper article in 1916 and a transcription of April 1993 edition of 'Medal News' )
