Holdens  were in Chapel Hill Co. Kilkenny.   Think they  were originally  from Ballyhale ,  but  were evicted  and  went to Chapel Hill.

HI, these are my family, have you an more info re this. i'd love to know more, I had not come across this until now.

Hi, This is one of my families - Laurence Holden and Catherine Keenan Ballyhale and Knocktopher. I have only registered with this site, happy to share what I know about them. Research into this branch in its infancy.

Hi,I am also researching the name Holden in South Kilkenny,in particular Inistioge,Brownsford,Chapelhill,Powerswood,Thomastown, Ballyhale,

Wonder  is this the family  you are  looking for?

Lawrence Holden, Ballyhale married Catherine Keenan  , Knocktopher. Co . Kilkenny...  Their  daughter Johanna Holden  5 December (1857- 1909) married Michael Hanrahan (5/11/1850 - 1905) of Blackstone Bridge, Kells, Co Kilkenny.

The Holden family were evicted and went  to Chapel Hill.  This probably happened  after Johanna married Michael Hanrahan. because  Michael raised his  family in Ballyhale..
