Northumberland / DAGLISH - Eglingham, early 1800s
« on: Tuesday 08 May 07 18:29 BST (UK)  »
I have two baptisms in Eglingham:
John Daglish, born 30/12/1805, christened 26/1/1806 - father John Daglish, mother Jane Jameson;
Peter Daglish, born 6/2/1812, christened 26/4/1812 - father John Daglish, mother Elizabeth Jamison.

I would greatly appreciate any help in finding:
- is this the same father John?
- if so, I would like to find details of his marriages to Jane and Elizabeth;
- also assume that Jane would have died and been buried;
- one is Jameson, the other Jamison: could they be sisters?

Quite a lot to ask, but stuck in the south of England would appreciate any help from anyone please!
Also any details of any other Daglishes living in the area at the time.

Thank you
Stephen Daglish

Hi June

I know it's been a while - but I have got some details about this family, starting with Anthony Daglish (b. about 1784, Morpeth, his son Joseph (b. about 1835 Morpeth, married Ellen Laidlow Gateshead 1860) and children Margaret, Andrew, Jane, Anthony, Ellen, Joseph, Thomas and Septimus Joshua.
