Durham Lookup Requests / William Blythe in Durham Gaol 1901
« on: Tuesday 17 July 07 05:44 BST (UK)  »
Hi Guys,
It appears my GG Grandfather William was in Durham Gaol on the night of 31 Mar 1901, What for??
I wonder if SKS can tell me how I find what he was in there for and how long he had been sentenced to. He is entered as William BLYTH Iron Moulder Aged 45.
I am also concerned as to whether he died in Gaol because he is mentioned as Deceased by 14th June 1902.
Any direction would be appreciated. I believe he was living at 6 Brewery Square, Stockton on Tees in 1891.
Kind Regards,
David    :o :o

Hi All,
I am keen to confirm the marriage of my g g grandfather William George CLAPPERTON to Elizabeth possibly "Occleshead" in Prestwich about 1870. If I have conformation it will make things easier for application to GRO. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Janis,
Thank you so much for the marriage information. Could you please tell me the file from which you obtained it?
I am eager to find the death particulars of James Nichol in Warkworth some time before 1851. He was an Ag Labourer. In 1851 Jane is a widow living in Warkworth with two of her youngest daughters Margaret Isabell and Elizabeth Nichol.
Best Wishes,
David

Hi Guys,
A minor correction to the previous post:
I was looking for some of my family in the transcript of the
Eglingham Parish registers when I came across a Blythe which I think is
yours...you probably have the details anyway.
William Blyth married Margaret Clark on May 19th 1799. witnesses were
William Clark, Cuthbert Turner, Alice Clark and John Clark.
           bye for now,
David Potterat
