Thank you so much for your help so far.

James died 15 July 1891 in Cambusnethan. His parents were Andrew Robertson and Janet Swan.

FYI Agnes Burt was indeed part of the family.  We'll have to have a wee visit over sometime.

Hi there!

I am looking for a headstone for  an Elizabeth Robertson nee Templeton who was born in Muirkirk in 1814 and married James Robertson on 31 March 1837 in Muirkirk. Her Mum's maiden name was Adamson.
The 1851 Census has the family in Cambusnethan, and by 1861 James was a widower still in Cambusnethan.  So I assume that Elizabeth died between 1851 and 1861.

I know it's a long shot, but you never know!

Hi, there!
I am searching for a record of death.

It concerns an Elizabeth Robertson nee Templeton who was born in Muirkirk in 1814 and married James Robertson on 31 March 1837 in Muirkirk. Her Mum's maiden name was Adamson.
The 1851 Census has the family in Cambusnethan, and by 1861 James was a widower still in Cambusnethan.  The children on the Census are Alexander (19), William (12), Ann (10), James (8) and John (4), all apparently born in Cambusnethan.
I just cannot find Elizabeth's death date.  Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
