Thank you for the information.  I have 1 UK service record & 2 Canadian so far.  I did hear that a lot of records were lost or are not available from that time frame.  I will give it a shot to see if I can find anymore of my families service records.

I  have a large military family and would like to get access to their records. Can any provide a link to personnel records for British subjects WW1 & Boer War. I have some regiment #'s and some just name & DOB I am i  Canada. Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Thanks for the info on sites to read old hand writing. I have two wills one from middle 1800's  & one from middle 1600's to decipher. This will definitely help.
