Hi all who replied to my not found post- Whew, hats off to you guys!.

I have looked up the reference properly this second time (tut tut!) and see that the census return I noted was entered by me as Mouse Hill Cran
The nearest to this from the replies sent to me is Manse Hill Craven. I see the word Craven as possibly abbreviated by the census officer to Cran.
Mouse can also be seen simply a misreading by me. Thank you Spelk & Co.
I am impressed!
Regards
Arrier.

Hi all.
Just joined RootsChat and this is my first topic/query.

I have completed a family history going back to 1691. One of my ancestors had a wife who was born at (illegible word) + Mouse Cran. The geographical area was Yorkshire (West Riding), more specifically Bingley to Colne (Lancs) to Barnoldswick, date 1830s plus/minus. I have tried old maps of the area but without success. Can anybody help please?
