Doric,

Hebburn and Heworth are not, and never were suburbs of Newcastle. They are suburbs of Gateshead, Tyne & Wear. They were all part of Durham until the early 1970's when the new Tyne & Wear county was formed

Hello KJP,

7, Church Road still exists and you can view it on Google Earth as if you were standing in the street. You can almost see through the front window.

Hello Emma,

Frankfort Street was just at the east side of the Redheugh bridge on the banks of the Tyne and running parallel to Cuthbert Street, which still exists.

Hello Sarah,

Francis had a sibling (See FreeBMD) b. 1923. Maybe, he could shed some light on your mystery if he is still living.

Durham Lookup Requests / Re: Hartlepool baptism lookup-CHISHOLM

Hello,

Found marriage record for Martha Eleanor Chisholm to Richard Laybourn, 17 Nov 1877 at St. Hilda's Church, Hartlepool

Margaret's father is recorded as Donald Chisholm (Mariner) who was the son of Norman Chisholm.

It looks more likely that Martha's mother was actually Esther Ann Fowls who was married to Donald
