Canada / Daniel Grant in St. Andrews, Charlotte, New Brunswick, 1784-1834

I have recently been able to determine with reasonable certainty that Daniel Grant, a loyalist originally from Golspie, Sutherland, Scotland who settled in Penobscot County (now Maine), is my 4th great-grandfather. At the end of the Revolutionary War he resettled with other loyalists in St. Andrews, Charlotte, New Brunswick. The area is also known as Passamaquody. I don't have actual birth records to prove that he is the father of my 3rd great-grandfather Peter Grant, but many factors that I won't go into here fit neatly and there is some DNA linking me to several of his other children. The sources and information I have been able to collect on him are attached to his profile on FamilySearch, where he is Daniel Grant GY7W-4TG.

I would love to hear from anyone else who might be researching this family, or who has had success in locating records for Charlotte County in the 1780's to 1810's. I have a digital copy of the Register for AllSaints Church in St. Andrews which is a difficult read but which contains references to at least half a dozen of Daniel's other children. Nothing for Peter Grant unfortunately.

For those who might be interested...SUSAN!
Yesterday I found an Allan Stewart and Susan Stewart married 7 Jan 1840, Halifax County signed by a Robert Stewart of Lochaber Lake... doesn't say father of?

1871- Upper South River, Antigonish - Susan born Scotland 1815   Rel: Baptist   (not unheard of to change for marriage) http://www.rootschat.com/links/01svk/
1881 Same  http://www.rootschat.com/links/01svl/
Daughter Margaret marries Lochaber Lake as Presby  http://www.rootschat.com/links/01svm/

So full circle, as today I remembered that Isabelle sometimes was Bell* & found her as Stuart!
1911 -  She's with Susan's dau. Margaret Grant  & husband Hiram

I have had that census in my tree for years and always wondered who the 'lodger' Bell Stewart was!  I don't suppose the census taker would have bothered to enter 'Aunt of wife of head of houshold' though. Thanks for the information and context.
