Hi Jen,

Welllllll, James Jolly and Ann Hood Christie are my gg grandparents.  Their Betsy Jane married David Dakers in 1867 and their Annabella Christie Dakers married Edward Arthur Parton in Liverpool in 1899 and their 7th child together (Arthur had been married in 1891 and had a daughter but his wife died in 1893) Mabel Parton is my mother.

On the Jolly side I go back to John 1760-1835 m Margaret Young (Abt 1755-?).

I have only been on Roots for a few days and I am still trying to figure out my way around the site. with Regards to the Dakers. I have the following:

Isabella? married William Dakers (not 100% certain of this info. no dates siblings etc)
They had a son James Dakers 1799-1880 married to Catherine Bain 1798-1848
There marriage was in 16 august 1823
They had chindren:
- David Dakers 1835-1891 married to Betsy Jane Dakers 1846-1933 (marriage 27 feb 1867)
- James Dakers 1824-1869
- Elizabeth Craig (nee Dakers) 1826
- Isabella Dakers 1828-1894
- William Dakers 1832- 1854

David Dakers Married to Betsy Jane Dakers (Nee Jolly) had childeren:
- David Dakers 1868 married Catherine Cook Dakers (Nee Sharp)
- James Bain Dakers 1869
- Frederick C Dakers 1872
- Annabella C Dakers 1873- 1967
- Edward John William Dakers 1879- 1947

David who Married Catherine Cook Sharp a child (not sure if there were more)
- John "Ian" Sharp Dakers 1916 (My Grandfather)

John "Ian" Sharp Dakers Married Daphne Munger and had a son Gordon Dakers.
John Sharp and Daphne separated and John married my gran Jean Lockie Nicol.
John Sharp and Jean Lockie Nicol had the following children:

- Suzanne Catherine Summers 1952(nee Dakers) (My Mother)
- Heather Dakers 1955
- Louise Le Grange 1962 (Nee Dakers)

Suzanne Dakers Married Henry Charles James Summers (My father)
They have two Children:
- Henry Richard Charles Summers 1981 (myself)
- Katherine Jean Artz (nee Summers)

Hi all. I'm new to the group so play nice 
My Mother is a Dakers. Grew up in Zambia and settled in South Africa.
Her father was John "Ian" Sharpe Dakers married to Jean Lockie Nicol.
Johns father was David Dakers 1868 married to Catherine Cook Sharp. His father David Dakers 1835 married Betsy Jane Jolly. His father James Dakers Married to Catherine Bain and Lastly his father was William and that is also where I end. I do not have birth dates for William.

On the Nicol side I go up to William Lockie Nicol 1885 so not so far. However there is a branch off onto the Black and Coldrey Families.
On the Jolly family I go up to John Jolly 1760 married to Margaret Young 1755.
Lastly my mother Suzanne Catherine Dakers married my father Henry Summers in 1976. I can follow the Summers line up to Thomas Summers 1720. Happy to share my xcel spread if anyone wants to try fill in the dots etc
