My Great, Great, Great Grandfather was John Bates Sr., born October 1800 of Wexford. He married Elizabeth Sutton, born June 21, 1798 of Wicklow, Ireland. They had four sons, Edward (1821-1837), John Jr. (1825-1895), William Arnold (1826-1892), and Thomas Sutton (1830-1908). Elizabeth died October 11, 1869, in Montréal, Quebec, and John Sr. died February 6, 1876, in Montréal, Quebec.
John and Elizabeth immigrated from Ireland to Montreal in 1832 with their four sons. I'm looking for any information prior to they're immigration from Ireland.
