Lodger,

I have finally pieced together the info you sent me on the Thomson/Smith family.
I do have a question regarding Marion Smith (nee Thomson). You have her as the daughter of William Thomson and Betsy Reid. Which is correct. However, i do question the dates and ask if you can please confirm. You have her interred in No 74 on February 9, 1875 and that she passed away at the age of 52. That would mean she was born about 1823. The Marion that i have was born in 1832. I have found census information that confirms her marriage to William Smith and her children.  The census information is from 1841 right up to 1881. In 1881 she was living with William (husband) and Betsy R. who was 20 at the time. That corresponds to Betsy R. Smith death at the age of 21 in the year 1882. Marion can not have passed away in 1875 if she is on the census in 1881. If she did indeed live to the age of 52 then she would have passed away in 1884 and not 1875. The census in 1881 lists her at the age of 48 which makes sense if she passed away in 1884 at the age of 52...three years later.

My husband is a descendent of Thomas Thomson who was a son of William Thomson and Betsy (Elizabeth) Reid. Making him a brother of Robert. I do have a John Thomson also as a brother he died March 1900. I could never find where he was buried. Interesting Thomas married a girl by the name of Margaret Stark. Her parents are James Stark and Jane Hamilton. Margaret was born in 1827. Both Thomas and Margaret are buried here in Canada. Now I am wondering if Ann Stark and Margaret Stark are related in some way....perhaps sisters. I wonder if Elizabeth Hamilton and my Jane Hamilton are the same person. I also have a Marion Thomson....again i could never find what happened to her.
The following are the list of children I have for William Thomson and Betsy Reid. Not sure if they are truly all their children. Working on that now.
Elizabeth 1813- unknown
Mary 1815-1889
William 1817- unknown
Robert 1820-1831
Thomas 1822-1862
John 1825-1900
Helen 1827-1900
Marion 1832- unknown
Robert 1832-1913
Ann 1834-1852

I am interested in the Thomson and Stark headstone pics.
Also, any other information you would have on these families.
I am trying to connect John Thomson to family in Lanarkshire.
