Hello

Thank you for that.

I have read and it gives me some idea of how Dad may have spent his time and what life would have been like there.

I really appreciate all your assistance with this.

Regards

Karen

Hi

Thank you for your reply.

I have a copy of the page from the register for 1939 that shows my Dad's details, which is how I found out he had been there.  He has passed and that is why I am guessing is the reason this came up when I did a search for information on Ancestry.

I was hoping that there might have still been someone around that knew him then....yes a lot of wishful thinking  :)

Anyway it was worth a try and I again thank you for your response.

Hi....I know it is a long time since this thread has been used, but I have just found this. I am in Australia.
My Father - Albert Arthur Smith was a student at the school in 1939- and could have been earlier as well. He was 9 in 1939.
I know it is a longshot now due to age. but wondering if anyone remembers him and could perhaps give me memories of him. He didn't speak of this part of his life and we would love to know about him during his childhood.
His brother Percy who was older, could have also been here with him, but I cannot find information on him. in the records.  He was Gordon Percival Smith and would have been 11/12 in 1939.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
