Hi Is there any one on Scotish People site who would please do me a look up for a marriage I think it will be Newarthill Lanarkshire. They are George Gourley and Mary Mcmurdo 1st Child was born about 1860 so it could be about 1859 Would be very grateful for that Regards Norah

I was wondering if any one can help me I had a cousin who went out to canada after the war before I was born. And she is the only part of my family tree not fully compleated.
This is the info I have Her name before m was Madeline Greenwood Cocker she married in 1945 in Manchester Area to George H Kew who was a Royal Canadian Air Force Man that was what I was told . I have her sailing to Canada in 1946 from records. She was going to Nova Scota I wonder if there is any death records for her and her husband. And would love to know if she had any children She was born aprox 1918 Would be grateful for any info Regards Norah

Thank you for that info Helen could have met her husband through her brother then. I looked to see if I could find John Robertson in M/c on 1891 census but no luck Thank you for the info once more Regards Norah

Hi I wonder if any one can help I am trying to find a marriage
for John Smith Robertson born 1870  Larham Edinburgh and a Helen P b 1870 Edinburgh. on 1911 Census its says m for 18 years so it makes it about 1893. I can't find a marriage in England. There 1st Daughter was b 1895 in Manchester followed by about another 3 children in M/c. On 1901 Census they are living in Jarrow Newcastle On Tyne were they remainded I was wondering if any one had access to Scotish People and would do me a look up I need wedding date and Helen Surname I would be every so grateful for any help Regards Norah

Thanks for your reply We were always told there was no body discovered that is why my great Aunt kept the door open in case he returned the only thing I can think of his that he was playing in the sea and a wave washed him out and it was to dangerous to go after him we will probably never now the full truth of what happened because there is only one direct cousin alive now and she is in her 80s and only was told the same story as we were Regards Norah
