Many thanks for your advice Andrew. Unfortunately i am a pensioner (83) and only have state pension so have to slog on on my own. Its fun anyway!

Not sure how legal this is as person might still be alive? She was born 1in 1928. Can i ask questions on here? Kind regards John Howarth

Many thanks for the input. I finished up with Ancestry and FTM and make sure that both files are compatible each time i visit. Ploppy

That is brilliant. I am still new to the game and at the moment finding it a bit of a struggle. I built u[ a bit of a family tree on Brothers Keeper and then decided to use family historian after lots of advice. And then lost all my data whilst trying to transfer everything between programmes!!
